About the Role

As an IT Specialist in a complex, multi-national, heavily regulated environment, you will be part of a close-knit team focusing on IT services and operations, compliance and cybersecurity. This full-time position is a great opportunity for someone who considers themselves an IT generalist who operates best at a very fast pace, who has strong AV skills, who loves solving problems.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Handling between 60 and 90 tickets per day across a mature preventative maintenance and distributed end user request platform. Balance and prioritize inbound requests appropriately.

  • Manage inventory and documentation

  • Input user support requests to helpdesk platform, triage requests and provide professional and prompt technical support with hardware, software and operational questions/issues via telephone, email, in person and via chat

  • Configure, install and troubleshoot workstations and associated software

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot moderately complex application, server and desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices including AV systems

  • Assist with network administration tasks

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and automated scripts

  • Manage backups, coordinate with other team members to ensure resiliency and business continuity

  • Oversee the vulnerability and patch management program and process components of the cybersecurity platform

  • Help enforce a culture of compliance and protect information resources

  • Participate in programs and projects that will enhance the business with new technology

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced IT professional with:


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or experience plus relevant certifications

  • 2-3 years of experience

  • Required: demonstrated work experience in AWS, Office 365 and/or Azure. Must be intermediate functional with all Office programs and also able to support high-level Excel (financial modeling) and Outlook. Experience with Active Directory and TCP/IP networking, DHCP, DNS, SMTP. Solid understanding of and ability to apply the OSImodel.

  • Industry certifications, proven track record of maintaining IT environments and experience in a regulated environment preferred.
